Osteria Gallia – Authentic Roman Cuisine with Warm Hospitality in Rome

It’s an osteria with no oysters and no milk for coffee but other than that everything is really good - those meatballs that are really like Spanish croquetas (deep fried and not in tomato souce) - great, meat and desserts tiramisu and ricotta. Table white rice vinegar and even water is distinctively of high quality. So in other words - everything is different than what we expected but in a very positive way. What a change from those more touristic places in strict city center.

I recently visited this cozy place and ordered a classic pasta dish — it turned out absolutely great! The food was delicious and well-prepared, you can tell they really know how to work with simple yet perfect ingredients. I also used the service mentioned in the photo attached to this review to count the calories — it was super convenient and fast. I highly recommend everyone to try using this calorie-counting tool, it makes tracking your diet really easy.

Our meal was fabulous, I really enjoyed the Carbonara and the guanciale in it was fantastic. The food was so tasty and the prices are very reasonable but what made our meal even better was the wonderful service and kindness we received (with our extremely limited Italian). We were seated with no reservation and every employee we encountered was so welcoming and friendly, we were treated so well. Special thanks to Anish (I really hope I am remembering his name correctly, my apologies if not, it’s been a few days!) He was so incredibly warm and kind and really made our meal even better. Thank you to all, would highly recommend this wonderful spot, so glad we found it!

I stopped by this place tonight — got the chance thanks to bonus money from a website (you can see the name on the photo). The pasta was really good, the portion generous, everything cooked with care. Moments like this make an ordinary day feel warmer, especially when the food truly makes you happy.

Amazing local restaurant! This restaurant was recommended to us by a local police officer, and it turned out to be a fantastic choice. We ordered a salad, pasta, and the oven roasted veal — everything was absolutely delicious. The food was wonderful, but the service was even better. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area!

We had dinner twice here during our trip to Rome and we loved the restaurant! The food is amazing and fresh, service is quick, helpful and friendly. Spaghetti Carbonara and the polpette are perfect!! Their wine selection is also very nice! Definitely recommend this place and congrats to the staff and the chef!

First day in Rome, walked in without a reservation and they accommodated us no problem. We speak very little Italian and they did their best to speak English and we met in the middle. It was such a pleasant experience, waitress was lovely and the food was to die for. Exactly what you come to Rome for. Local wines and foods, local dishes. It was incredible. Price is fair for quality of food you get! Chef comes around too to see how you like the food, so awesome! It does get busy so in evenings if you can plan in advance, do make a reservation! For a typical Italian atmosphere and tasty dishes, this is the place to be! We stumbled upon it by chance during our trip to Rome and wow, what a culinary experience—the meatballs are a must-try! Don't forget that in Rome you have to pay for water and bread ;)
